Rugby, cricket & Gaelic
Cricket and rugby tours, like tennis seasons, run across the calendar, and bettors follow them from place to place; geography counts here more than it does in tennis. The section follows the games and marks where the law differs.
Cricket, rugby union and league, Gaelic football, hurling and netball are all included. Cricket markets centre on innings and the match, rugby markets on handicaps and winning margins.
A Gambling Commission licence and the Gambling Act 2005 apply in England, Scotland and Wales. Northern Ireland is not covered by the Act, and so a Great Britain licence has no bearing on betting there, especially on Gaelic games.
